Dr. Michael Kiriac (the inventor of BioPreparation/BioSuperfood) feels cancer is not an awful disease that we contract or one that invades the body (as a virus does). Cancer is simply a natural response of the body when enough external stressors (e.g., petrochemicals, food preservatives, radiation in the environment, too much electromagnetic pollution, etc.) suddenly change the DNA of our cells to reverse their normal function and become cancerous. A normal cell recognizes surrounding cells as friendly and coexists synergistically with them. A normal cell takes in nutrients from the blood and grows at a normal pace. A cancerous cell has a ravenous appetite and does not recognize surrounding cells as friendly. Cancerous cells then, eat the surrounding cells to satisfy its abnormal appetite and a tumor grows exponentially. Surgery, radiation and chemotherapy does indeed get rid of or kill cancerous cells (and some good ones too) but does nothing to prevent more cancerous cells from returning (or replicating). We would prefer to use natural and holistic methods first, to see if we can nutritionally support the body back into 100% wellness and let the body get the imbalanced cancerous condition under control. In essence, the nutritional product is waking up the body's natural ability to heal rather than attacking and killing the cancerous cells. Unfortunately, time and the severity (i.e., stage of cancer) doesn't always permit this. (Please see your doctor or veterinarian for proper medical treatment.) By natural, we mean using substances (ideally whole foods) found in the subject’s native diet and not just the active ingredient extracted and concentrated down like Western drugs (that have side effects). By holistic, we mean helping with the whole body condition and not just acting on the symptoms. Some supplements may be a combination of herbs. These herbs may reduce the symptoms but to be a totally holistic solution we would ask the questions, Does the subject normally eat these herbs in their diet? or Are we treating the subject’s condition with a supplement not native to the subject’s diet just to reduce the symptoms? or Will the cancerous cells return once the herb is discontinued?

Some supplements are distilled chemical compounds or have just the active ingredients extracted. To be totally holistic, we would want all the vitamins, enzymes, amino acids, trace minerals, etc. that Nature included in the original whole food source also included in the supplement. These complementary substances might help buffer the action of the active ingredient, help reduce any side effects, make the action of the active ingredient more potent with less quantity and in general produce a synergistic relationship not found by using just the single active ingredient.

Case History—Mast Cell Cancer Tumor Results
This German shepherd's mast cell cancer tumor was reduced in ten weeks using only BioPreparation. Chemotherapy and radiation treatment were declined.

Baby Bear— 7 yr old, German Shepherd/Husky mix, diagnosed with mast cell cancer tumor in the foot. Standard protocol to remove the entire tumor plus a 3 cm perimeter was not followed to save Baby Bear’s foot. Conventional radiation or chemotherapy was not followed due to the ill side effects.

We are happy to report that Baby Bear was adopted on September 23, 2004, after 6 months of rehabilitation by the Misha May Foundation, which offers training and rehabilitation for mixed-breed shelter dogs. Baby Bear, was given a clean bill of health on September 23, 2004. The vet report said, “Looks good. No visible recurrence of tumor. Foot regular.” Baby Bear was adopted on September 24, 2004.

Based on our 6 years (since 2002) of nutritional experience with the products, we can share a few lessons that we have learned to help you avoid any unpleasant circumstances. We have seen animal guardians give too much BioPreparation, too fast in the beginning (in hopes of "healing" their pet quickly) with the initial results being vomiting and/or diarrhea. While this is not a side effect of the product, the results are unpleasant (for both the animal and guardian). In our holistic opinion, these signs show the product is working by waking up the animal's natural ability to heal and purging toxins from the body but the dosage is more aggressive than the body can handle. This is especially true if the animal has just had surgery, is undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment or is on a prescription drug program. Based on our nutritional experience with the products, in these cases, we suggest a beginning introduction of 1/2 capsule per day (1/4 morning + 1/4 evening) for small animals and 1.0 capsule per day (1/2 morning + 1/2 evening) for large animals. In emergency cases where the animal is not eating and death looks to be imminent, this could be accelerated to 1/2 capsule every 4 hours, at the guardians discretion.

It is best to mix the algae powder in wet food but in extreme cases where the animal is not eating, the guardians have mixed the algae powder in water and squirted the mixture with an eye dropper or syringe directly into the animal's mouth to stimulate the appetite. Normally, we suggest holding this beginning dosage for 3-5 days and then increasing by 1/4 or 1/2 capsule per day, as long as the animal's body is adjusting (no detoxing symptoms). But in extreme cases, this can be accelerated by increasing the daily dosage by 1/4 or 1/2 capsule per day every 1-2 days as needed. Our rule of thumb is, give as much as their animal can tolerate without exacerbating the current symptoms or causing detoxing symptoms to appear. Bone Cancer

Betamax, our 9 year old setter/retriever mix, was diagnosed with bone cancer.
