Optimum Choices is not housing these dogs and has no further information on
them. We are simply posting their pictures here as a service to the Misha May
Foundation. Please contact Lorraine May, executive director, for further
information at
info@mishamayfoundation.org. Applications may be downloaded from the links
below and e-mailed to Lorraine.
Tragic: Out of every 10 families that get
dogs, only 4 families keep theirs beyond the first year. Misha May is
determined to change that, so we place a great deal of importance on
where each dog goes. We want to work with you for a forever match.
Please go to
http://mishamayfoundation.org/adopt.htm to read about our adoption
process and to complete an application. All dogs are in foster homes. A
completed application is required before you can make a
private appointment to meet a dog.
We are at the Lakewood Petco, near Wadsworth and Alameda across from Bel-Mar,
with some of our dogs, on the second Saturday of each month between
3-5:30pm. You can also go to our website events page,
http://mishamayfoundation.org/events.htm, to find other locations
where we will have our dogs up for adoption.
Adoption fees for dogs begin at $100.
We are always in need of foster homes, volunteers and donations of money
and supplies. Email
info@mishamayfoundation.org if you would like more information.
Alex
Poor Alex.
"My family got a younger dog and called Misha May to take
me. Is that like a pet owner's mid-life crisis?
Anyway, I'm 11 years young. I am a male Fox Terrier and I
would appreciate a soft pillow to lay my head on and a
loving person to spend my quieter, calmer days with. I'm a
gentleman who would like an opportunity to preserve my
dignity and honor as I age. I am outraged at the way I have
been treated but still have faith that all will be okay with
the home Misha May will find for me."
Jack
Jack just arrived and he's captured our hearts
with his gentle ways and happy personality. He's small sized
Golden mix who is eager to please and happy just to be with you.
He has a nice energy level and seems to really like people. We
will post more about Jack after he settles in with us a bit and
we all get acquainted. In the meantime, if you'd like to meet
him please contact us.
Wendall
Wendall is an adult Lab mix who has quite the
personality! This lovely boy was found in the desert simply
sitting out in the middle of nowhere. The volunteer realized he
must have been dropped off away from everything and would surely
die. So here he is! Wendall is mannerly and fun.
Penny
Penny is a small 2 year old spayed female
Dachshund mix. Poor Penny lost her home due to a
foreclosure. Her owner was desperate and Penny almost
suffered dearly for that. Fortunately Misha May was
contacted and she is safe in a foster home playing with
other dogs. She is home-ready and is relaxing more and more
each day, forgetting her ordeal of being tied out and
abandoned, and realizing things are going to be great! She
would be a great addition to your family, we know.
