Only Whole Foods, Not Supplements, Can Regenerate and Rebuild the Body

In our attempt to get quicker results and produce more potent remedies, we forget one “wholistic” law: Nature designed our and our pet’s bodies to balance and heal itself using whole foods (including medicinal whole foods such as herbs, mushrooms and algae) not isolated supplements. While concentrating active ingredients and discovering patented ways to extract them (as in isolated supplements) do certainly produce quicker and more potent results, in our wholistic opinion, that will not balance the body and awaken the body’s natural ability to heal. These processes will just make the symptoms better, although they may not make them entirely go away (read Absence of Symptoms Not Enough). Here are some absurd examples of our arrogance in trying to make things “better” than Nature.

Obviously, none of the above actions will work and the fish will die because Nature only designed fish to live in fresh or salt water. But this is what our arrogant scientist are trying to do: make things work faster, taste better and look better. Sure our symptoms might go away temporarily. Sure we might temporarily have more energy and be able to go back to work quicker. Sure the unexplained growth might reduce in size. But Nature designed our bodies to eat only whole foods. So have we really balanced the whole body and returned to wellness, so that the symptoms stay away for good? Here is an example of scientists’ arrogance versus Nature’s complete healing solution.

Back in the 18th century, European travelers crossing the Atlantic Ocean discovered if they drank fresh lime juice they did not get scurvy (a Vitamin C deficiency resulting in weakness and joint pain, internal hemorrhages causing black-and-blue marks to appear on the skin, gums hemorrhaging and becoming weak and spongy, teeth root break down where teeth loosen and eating becomes difficult and painful). That is why British sailors were called limeys. It was not until the 20th century, that scientists finally isolated the beneficial nutrient in citrus fruits as Vitamin C. What is not commonly known is by taking isolated Vitamin C in the form of an ascorbic acid supplement one only gets rid of the symptoms of scurvy. When the ascorbic acid supplement is discontinued the symptoms and disease returns. However, if one gets Vitamin C made from an extract of whole green peppers not only do the symptoms disappear but the scurvy is gone when discontinued. Vitamin C in the form of a whole food product contains rutin, bioflavonoids, Vitamin E, selenium and zinc that Nature dictated is needed for Vitamin C to work optimally in our body. All these complementary compounds are present in whole food sources of Vitamin C (for example, green peppers, oranges, rose hips, acerola cherries, algae). By eating only an isolated supplement with just ascorbic acid or by juicing an orange and throwing away the pulp and peel, one is missing all the above necessary compounds.

Yes, isolated supplements may appear cheaper in the short run. Isolated supplements may produce quicker results. But Nature designed our and our pet’s bodies to regenerate and rebuild themselves using whole foods, not isolated supplements.
