Seacure® is backed by a 40-year history of safe clinical use. (1,4,5)
Proven safe. All natural, drug-free, and with no known side effects, drug
interactions, or contraindications. (1,2,3,5)
Seacure® provides intestinal support without the inconvenient or
uncomfortable side effects associated with some OTC remedies and pharmaceutical
attempts. (2,3)
Safety, tolerance, and benefit of 1 to 2g dosages of the Seacure®peptides both
orally and by tube feeding were demonstrated in one study of 2500 premature,
malnourished infants and another study of 3200 malnourished children. (1,5)
A select committee of the Food and Nutrition Board of the U.S. National
Academy of Sciences has previously endorsed the safety and effectiveness of a
concentrate of protein from fish, such as Seacure®. (6)
In a controlled study, a team of physicians and surgeons found Seacure® to be
a superior source of protein compared to a casein standard for hospitalized
patients, and further noted that the positive results in patients went beyond
what thought could be related simply to protein. (5)
Seacure® was reported to reduce the symptoms of occasional diarrhea and
constipation, and alleviate bloating, gas, and symptoms generally viewed as gas
at a dosage of 3g per day for 60 days, as reported in a recent study. (2)
In an early study, the intake of the hydrolyzed protein Seacure® assisted
recovery in hospitalized patients with diarrhea. (5)
The 3rd International Forum of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition in
Brazil recommended the use of the hydrolyzed protein Seacure® in cases of
diarrhea. (5)
3g per day of Seacure® over 30 days strengthened intestinal integrity as
assessed by laboratory testing in a recent study that also monitored function
and improvement in symptoms. (3)
Numerous clinical studies performed in hospitals over the past 40 years have
demonstrated the range of benefits provided by Seacure®, including not only
improvement in protein balance and intestinal function, but also in related
areas of maintaining immune system function, healthy blood profiles, and general
health among patients ranging from infants to geriatrics. (1,5)
In several studies with immune compromised children, 2 to 3g per day of
Seacure® resulted in maintaining normal immunoglobulin levels (antibodies
against infection) and a general support to the clinical management against
infection. (1,5)
Two adult groups, one between 30 and 60 years of age and one between 60 and
80 years of age, demonstrated healthy blood profiles over a 3 month period at 3g
of Seacure® per day, as part of a longitudinal follow up study. (5)
In a controlled study, Seacure® was tested against the standard protein used
in tube feeding of surgical patients. Results with Seacure® were superior in the
areas of blood variables, skin and muscle tone, nitrogen balance, and general
metabolism. (5)
