Daycare & Kennels

Doggie Daycare & Kennels

One of our pet peeves is doggie daycare, recreational and kennel facilities that require "up to date" or "current" vaccinations, including bordetella. By "up to date", they mean annual or even twice annually (in the case of bordetella). However, current research shows no scientific justification for annual vaccinations and over-vaccination can cause health problems in pets. We were thrilled to learn of the following facilities in the Denver metro area that do not require annual vaccines for dogs, as they are aware of the potential problems. Hounds on the Hill only requires current rabies vaccination, as required by Colorado State law.

For more information on health problems caused by over-vaccination, see our article here: Vaccination Controversy
