Optimum
Choices is not housing these dogs and has no further information on them. We are
simply posting their pictures here as a service to the Misha May Foundation.
Please contact Lorraine May, executive director, for further information at
info@mishamayfoundation.org. Applications may be downloaded from the links
below and e-mailed to Lorraine.

Tragic: Out of every 10 families that get
dogs, only 4 families keep theirs beyond the first year.
Misha May is determined to change that, so we place a
great deal of importance on where each dog goes. We want
to work with you for a forever match. Please go to
http://mishamayfoundation.org/adopt.htm to read
about our adoption process and to complete an
application. Puppies are in a foster home. A completed
application is required before you can make a
private appointment to meet the puppies. Adoption fee is
$200 which includes spay/neuter, vaccines, de-worming
and micro chipping. Puppies may be chosen and adopted at
any time now, however, they may not be able to go to
their home that same day.
We are at the Lakewood Petco, near Wadsworth and Alameda
across from Bel-Mar, with some of our dogs, on the
second Saturday of each month between 3-5:30pm. You can
also go to our website events page,
http://mishamayfoundation.org/events.htm, to find
other locations where we will have our dogs up for
adoption. We are always in need of foster homes,
volunteers and donations of money and supplies. Email
info@mishamayfoundation.org if you would like more
information.
Chloe
Chloe is 8 weeks old on Feb.12
and is finally ready to be separated from mom, a black lab
mix who was left at a local shelter, on the verge of
giving birth. If pups are taken away earlier than at 8
weeks, their development suffers and they can end up with
problems. The next 2 weeks with her littermates, without
mom, will help all of the pups build confidence in order
to transition to a very different life. Then they will
be ready for adoption.
Chloe is an inside dog
whose best home includes a yard with a secure fence so that
she can play outside safely when she gets older. Chloe would
love to live with a friendly dog who will teach her good
manners and the rules of the new house. She is too little to
be alone with children. She may be feeling lonely and scared
so she needs gentle loving patient people who will help her
adjust.
We don't have
any other information about these puppies or the parents.
They will turn out to be terrific dogs if the new home
provides the developmental attention necessary, as they are
already socialized and loving. Misha May will provide you
with a puppy development chart so that you can be sure to
continue to help them mature into healthy, happy members of
your family and society.
