1. In the new capsule format of 180-capsule bottles (after
the former 250-capsule bottles run out), there will be 4700 mg more algae
powder per bottle. That's 25 additional capsules based on the
250-capsule bottle. So, with more capsules per bottle the price needs
to increase. Each 180-capsule bottle (actually comes in a larger
bottle) will last longer, assuming you keep the same algae powder (not
capsule) dosage.
2. Many people ask, "How do we know your algae is safe?" Many media outlets
report blue-green algae to have 'blooms' of toxic cyanobacteria or
microcystis aeruginosa . Many wild grown algae sources are contaminated.
Other manufacturers only spot check (e.g., once per month, random batch
sampling) their algae for toxins. With the granting of Health Canada's
license (our FDA equivalent) every batch of algae must now be tested.
Testing cost $15-20,000 per batch. So, with the increase in quality
assurance comes the increase in manufacturer's cost. I, for one, feel
confident in saying BP/BSF will never contain toxic ingredients such as
bacteria, herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals and other contaminants that
have been found in other algae products. Based on the manufacturer's
increased costs, comes a quality assurance
guarantee that no other algae manufacturer can beat.
3. The Canadian exchange rate used to be $0.77 CD=$1.00 USD. Today it is
$0.99 CD=$1.00 USD. Because the product is manufactured in Canada, our U.S.
consumer price is effected by the balance of trade and weakness of the U.S.
Dollar. This adjustment in exchange rate is simply a fact of our global economy and not a price
increase.
4. The cost of gasoline has gone up and so has shipping cost. Most
shippers now add a fuel surcharge to every shipment. All businesses
are feeling this pinch and now it must be passed on to the consumer.
Businesses do not like to do this (and some absorb the cost as long as
possible) but these are the realities of staying in business.
HINTS to stretch your algae powder: Remember, one can obtain maximum benefits by opening up the
capsules and sprinkling the algae powder on the animal's food rather than
just giving the whole capsule. You'll need less algae powder and give your
pet more health benefits. Also, one can obtain more benefits by
spreading the total daily dosage out equally over the day's meal. For
instance, instead of giving two capsules in the morning, try 1/2 capsule
mixed into the food in the morning, afternoon and dinner for only 1.5
capsules per day. That will save 1/2 capsule per day per animal. Some
customers open up the capsules and measure each dosage with small measuring
spoons (i.e., nip, smidgen, pinch and dash) available at kitchen/household
stores.
Very appropriate for Christmas time, this oil was distilled from the fir trees on a pristine Idaho Christmas tree farm. In addition to permeating the room with a very calming fir/pine scent, it is a welcome discovery for those who suffer from sore muscles and body aches due to exercise.* Idaho Balsam Fir is a therapeutic-grade conifer oil distilled from northern Idaho. This is one of the five oils reported in the Bible to have been used by Jesus. Possible benefits include:
Testimonies:
I used this on the long drive home from Salt Lake City to Denver.
Normally, I would need a massage the next day to relieve the muscle
tightness built up from driving. I massaged Idaho Balsam Fir oil on my
neck and shoulders each time I stopped at a rest stop and this
alleviated the tightness so that I did not need a massage. I have
continued to use it since then on my neck to relieve chronic tightness
caused by old whiplash injuries and find it very effective for this.
Idaho Balsam Fir is used for more than just sore muscles. I have found it uplifts my spirits and calms my nerves. A feeling of contentment is produced.
I have used the Gratitude blend along with Idaho Balsam Fir and the Believe blend since they were released last June. I was suffering from depression over my mother’s death, getting laid off three times in less than one year and the loss of my career. I found that using these three oils before any of the other emotional oils (e.g., Inspiration, Magnify Your Purpose, Abundance) for depression was the key for me.

Are you:
If you answered 'YES', to any of the above questions you may be just supplementing the symptoms. The next paradigm in holistic healthcare will utilize less isolated supplements and more whole foods or whole food products to maintain wellness. Taking some supplements is analogous to the little Dutch boy who put his finger in the dike to stop the water leak and save the town from flooding. Sure, he is a hero but the problem is he has to keep his finger in the dike forever or until a more permanent solution is found. Most supplements just satisfy a nutritional deficiency and do nothing to correct the original imbalance or holistically boost up the body from within. The body becomes dependent on the supplements for balance and true holistic health is never achieved. So, taking some supplements is simply using a natural product in an allopathic way. Here is an example.
Back in the 18th century, European travelers were crossing the Atlantic Ocean to the New World. They discovered if they drank fresh lime juice they did not get scurvy (a vitamin C deficiency resulting in weakness and joint pain, internal hemorrhages causing black-and-blue marks to appear on the skin, gums hemorrhaging and becoming weak and spongy, teeth root break down where teeth loosen and eating becomes difficult and painful). That's why British sailors were called limeys. It wasn’t until the 20th century, that scientists finally isolated the beneficial nutrient in citrus fruits as Vitamin C. What is not commonly known is by taking isolated Vitamin C in the form of an ascorbic acid supplement one only gets rid of the symptoms of scurvy. When the ascorbic acid supplement is discontinued the symptoms and disease returns. However, if one gets Vitamin C made from an extract of whole green peppers not only do the symptoms disappear but the scurvy is gone when discontinued. Vitamin C in the form of a whole food product contains rutin, bioflavonoids, Vitamin E, selenium and zinc that Nature dictated is needed for Vitamin C to work optimally in our body. All these complementary compounds are present in whole food sources of Vitamin C (e.g., green peppers, oranges, rose hips, acerola cherries, algae). By taking only an isolated supplement with just ascorbic acid or by juicing an orange and throwing away the pulp and peel, one is missing all the above necessary compounds. Another problem with supplements is that they have hidden side effects.
Did you know?
Glucosamine supplements will not cause blood sugar disorders (diabetes) or Candida (yeast overgrowth) but if one is already predisposed to those conditions, high therapeutic doses of glucosamine might be enough to trigger symptoms of those diseases.
