These are not the only good brands available. This is a sampling of brands
commonly available in the Denver/Boulder metro area. Some of these companies
also make super premium canned, kibble and freeze-dried raw foods.
Switching cats to a raw diet can be difficult because they tend to be more
finicky than dogs. We have succeeded in getting our cats to eat raw by giving
them the most tasty diets we can find which are rabbit from Hare Today and the
raw diet from RadCat. Our cats usually turn up their noses at other brands.
Hare Today: no
longer available in Denver stores but we order it online and pay for shipping as
our cats love the rabbit flavor. Every cat we've tried likes the ground rabbit.
For nutritional variety, we also feed the ground pheasant, chicken, turkey and
mouse, though our cats like those less well.
