How Long Before I Get Results?
(Part 3)

Part 1 of
How Long
Before I Get Results? was published in February-2009. We stated, studies have shown
that it generally takes repetition of at least 90 days for any permanent change in the
body to take effect. This includes changing personal habits, quitting
smoking, dieting to lose weight, results from natural supplements, etc.
The length of time can depend on the following factors:
- Genetics
- Diet
- How long the body has been out of
balance (even before symptoms showed up)
- Frequency of product usage
- Regularity of product usage
In March-2009, we
continued with a specific example of
How Long Before I Get Results With My Lipomas? (Part 2). We
stated the advantages of drugs and isolated supplements were quick results and
sometimes elimination of symptoms.
The disadvantages were potential
side effects, a
dependency on the product and
never taking care of the original cause of the symptom or disease. The
difference between these isolated supplements and
whole food products
(like BioSuperfood and
BioPreparation)
is that whole food products do not contain high therapeutic doses of
any one ingredient but are a collection of many super nutrients that
work in synergy with each other to activate the body's own natural
ability to heal.
Therefore, it is not realistic to expect to see a decrease in
lipomas after just 30 days on whole food products. The body's
malfunctioning glands and inefficient body systems have been going on for some time,
even
before the first lipoma appeared. One must allow time for
the super nutrition from whole food products to nourish and
balance all the body's glands and organs, so the body can reduce
(or absorb) the lipomas naturally. It literally is the body
doing the "healing" and not the product, unlike drugs and isolated
supplements. But how long must one wait? Here are two examples
that will help set
realistic
expectations.
It takes the body 120 days to regenerate
every red blood cell. A normal red blood cell count (hematocrit, packed
cell volume or PCV) for a healthy dog is 40-59%. In the case of
IMHA, the dog's body is
 not producing any new red blood cells at the
bone marrow level and the body's immune system has gone bonkers (very technical "medical" term) and is
destroying the remaining
healthy ones. This double whammy (another "medical" term) causes the dog
to become anemic, as the red blood cell count drops dangerously low. If a
dog's PCV=10% (where the organs and brain are being starved of oxygen), that is an 80% decrease from normal (50% average).
Current veterinary treatment is to prescribe steroids to suppress the
immune system to stop the destruction of healthy red blood cells,
prescribe antibiotics to counter any infection and give a blood
transfusion to temporarily increase the red blood cell count. To
date, there is no Western medical treatment known that can make the body
resume normal red blood cell production at the bone marrow level.
Assuming medical treatment can stop the immune system from destroying
the remaining healthy red blood cells, that leaves a possible void after
the effects of the blood transfusion wears off (usually 2-4 weeks). What
if the body does not resume red blood cell production on its own?
We have learned that dietary products can provide
the super nutrition necessary to assist the body in resuming red blood cell
production again. We have used
Bio-Algae Concentrates (Spirulina
pacifica, Spirulina platensis, Dunaliella salina and astaxanthin from
Haematococcus pluvialis) since
2002, and seen dogs' bodies start the
regeneration of red blood cells on their own. Going back to the above
example, suppose a dog's PCV=10%, then it should take 96 days (120 days x 80%)
to regenerate the PCV back to normal. 96 days is a long time to wait
for clinical signs your dying dog is recovering from a deadly disease such as IMHA.
But that is how long the body needs to naturally recover based on its
natural cycle of 120 days for total red blood cell regeneration. One cannot
rush Mother Nature. This does not mean one will not observe beginning
signs of recovery. Quite often an improved appetite, brighter eyes,
increased energy and more playfulness are observed. But the clinical
signs (PCV from blood test) are much slower to improve. Here is another
example of the body needing more time than we give it to recover.
It takes 180 days for the body to
regenerate cells in its intestines. If a body has inflammatory bowel
 disease
(IBD), leaky gut syndrome, Crohn's or Celiac disease and there
suddenly was a medical cure provided, then it would be realistic to
expect it could take at least 180 days after starting treatment to
totally replace all the diseased intestinal cells with healthy cells and
have digestive function return to normal. Like
IMHA above, that does not mean one would not observe progress in
elimination of symptoms before then. So, if one were to try a
nutritional regime to help balance any digestive disorder, at least the
same time frame should be expected—180 days or six months.
Whole food products are not miracle cures
where one can expect symptoms to be gone in 1-2 weeks (like drugs and
some isolated supplements) and the condition to be "cured" in 1-2
months. If one starts any holistic regime or program, one has to allow
at least as much time as it took the body to get imbalanced and
presenting symptoms, as it does to bring the body back into balance. In
most cases, this realistically takes at least 4-12 months depending on
the condition. Remember, it
takes seven years for every cell in the body to be regenerated.
 That is why we
preach the philosophy, do not to wait for symptoms to blow up before
taking holistic action. We suggest taking preventative action before
symptoms show up.
