e-Book and released our Second
Edition (v2.0). For anyone who purchased a previous
version, just e-mail us and we will send you a
complimentary copy of this latest edition. Our Second
Edition contains new information on genetically modified
organism (GMO) foods. Why should you be concerned about
GMO foods?
If you eat at fast food restaurants, you are
eating GMO foods...
If you eat non-organic corn, canola or
canola oil, Hawaiian papaya, some zucchini, cooked-neck
squash, sugar beets or tobacco, you are most likely eating GMO
foods...
If you are
concerned about getting cancer (Males: 1 in
4, Females: 1 in 5 chance)...
If you have allergies, cancer, inflammatory bowel
disease (IBD), Crohn’s disease, celiac disease, colitis, megacolon, leaky gut syndrome or other digestive
disorders...
If you eat soy (or
soy products) and have thyroid or any
glandular imbalances...
...you should read this new section in our
e-Book.
If you do not think GMO food
is an issue, read how...
"a
recent judge's ruling prohibits the current sugar beet crop from being planted until the U.S.D.A. reviews the effect of GMO crops could have on other food. This lawsuit was brought by the Center for Food Safety, the Organic Seed Alliance and the Sierra Club."

Optimum Choices is limited in the health claims we can make regarding the
holistic products we carry. All health claims must be scientifically-based
or backed by FDA-approved studies. Only a licensed doctor or vet can use
such words as, "diagnosis, prescribe, recommend, cure, therapy, treatment,"
etc. But our satisfied customers can say anything they want. Did you
know
70% of our sales are from repeat, satisfied clients? Some clients value the
holistic benefits of our holistic products so much, they are on our Autoship Program so they never run out.
If you or your pet have experienced a "miraculous" recovery or have had
an amazing experience and would like to share it with the world so others
can benefit, we need your testimonial. You can submit a written testimonial,
call us and dictate your testimonial, e-mail it, send us a voice or video
recording and even send us a link to your YouTube video. Extra points will
be given for photos (you and your pet), videos (1-2 minutes or less), lab
tests, doctor or vet reports included with the testimonial.
By
sending us your testimonials, you grant Optimum Choices the rights to
publish the testimonial, photos and videos. We will publish all testimonials
anonymously with just your initials, unless you specify otherwise.
Testimonials will be edited for spelling, grammar, to make them factually
correct and FDA compliant. Our staff will choose the best testimonials for
publication. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
best testimonial will be awarded. Deadline is December 31, 2010.

Awakening the
Genius Within
If you live in the Las Vegas area you
must take the opportunity to hear Dr. Roland Thomas (author of Awakening the Genius Within)
in person.
Learn the most advanced concepts of true wholistic health from the
algae experts. Get answers to the following questions:
How can awakening the genius within
benefit my family and I?
What is the difference between stomach
food and brain food?
How can I buy less supplements, save
money and simplify my life?
Do you want your dog to live to be 15-20 years old and still be healthy?
What does that desire and
Chipotle
Mexican Grill have in common?
The answer is Jim Adams. Jim Adams is a marketing executive who rode the
exponential growth of
Chipotle Mexican Grill for 11 years. He left the company in 2008. His Chipotle roots
schooled Jim in founder Steve Ells' mission to use organic products and
naturally raised meat whenever possible and their commitment to growing
livestock and produce using responsible, respectful and
sustainable techniques. In order to solve his own dog's
health challenges, he
stopped feeding the traditional grain-based dry
kibble food and started cooking real food for him. Further
canine
education led him to transition to a raw food diet. Amazingly, his dog
lost weight, his
allergies lessened, his eyes and ears cleared up and he perked up. Jim
decided to translate what he learned about good food at Chipotle's into
making real healthy dog food. Redbud's Raw Dog Food was founded with the sincere
purpose of helping all dogs achieve great health. The food, named after his
dog Red, a long-haired Dachshund, is made from antibiotic-free and
hormone-free chicken, ground chicken bone, and organic vegetables and fruit.
His food is 80% meat and 20% fruits and vegetables (an
ideal ratio for canine carnivores). It comes in frozen
1-pound packages that sell for $5.99.
Redbud's Raw Dog Food was launched this summer and is only available (so
far) in the
Denver area at the local Cherry Creek Farmer's Market. Jim has
just started local Denver delivery service. Delivery is FREE with a
10
pound minimum in Denver. Jim has offered our Optimum Choices' clients in
Denver special introductory pricing (less than what is advertised on his website).
Contact Jim directly at (303) 570-4113 or e-mail
Join-Our-Pack and tell him "Optimum Choices sent you", for this special
Denver-only pricing. Jim hopes to have national raw dog food distribution
set up sometime in the future.
Here is a good case of 'do not believe it just because you read it in
the media.' An article was circulating around the media during the first
week of November entitled, "Fish
oil doesn't help Alzheimer's patients." While it was a good
study and their final data was accurate, they came to the absolutely
wrong conclusion. That is because, like all other research studies, they
only evaluated it from a Western medical, allopathic viewpoint using the 'Cause
and Effect' principle and not holistically. Based on our holistic perspective, fish oils do help Alzheimer's patients and any other brain disorder
or imbalance. Here is how we came to our holistic
conclusion.
The study was undertaken by the Oregon Health and Science
University because "some smaller, less
rigorous studies suggested that
mental decline could be slowed or prevented by eating fish, the main
dietary source for omega-3 fatty acids, or supplements such as fish oil
pills that contain fatty acids including DHA." (www.DenverPost.com,
11/03/2010) So they spent $10 million dollars and used DHA (an Omega
3 oil) capsules derived from algae. The study found that the DHA
capsules did not slow the mental and physical decline in Alzheimer's
patients. We feel this finding is perfectly accurate. We think their
conclusion that "fish oils" do not help Alzheimer's patients would be
more accurately started as, "fish oil capsules, whose DHA had been
extracted from algae, do not help Alzheimer's." Do you see the
difference?
The study's conclusion that "fish oils" do not help
Alzheimer's is such a broad statement that could include a capsule of
Omega 3 oil (DHA only), a capsule of essential fatty acids extracted
from fish (containing Omega 3, Omega 6 and Omega 9) and even the whole food
fish itself. They make no distinction in the source and therein lies the
problem. These is a big difference between getting nutrition from an
isolated (often synthetic) supplement and whole foods. Here is proof
from a much older study on Vitamin C.
We all learned back in school that
Vitamin C helps avoid scurvy. But experiments showed that taking
isolated Vitamin C in the form of an ascorbic acid supplement only gets
rid of the symptoms of scurvy. When the ascorbic acid supplement is
discontinued the symptoms and disease returns. However, if one gets
Vitamin C made from an extract of whole green peppers not only do the
symptoms disappear but the scurvy is gone when discontinued. Vitamin C
in the form of a whole food product contains rutin, bioflavonoids,
Vitamin E, selenium and zinc that Nature dictated is needed for Vitamin
C to work optimally in our body. All these complementary compounds are
present in whole food sources of Vitamin C (for example, green peppers,
oranges, rose hips, acerola cherries, algae). By taking only an isolated
supplement with just ascorbic acid
or by juicing an orange and throwing
away the pulp and peel, one is getting only Vitamin C and missing all
the above necessary nutrients to make Vitamin C work the way Nature
intended. One cannot extrapolate studies using a supplement (pill,
capsule or tablet) to include the actual whole food source. A pill is just
supplementing the symptoms, while a whole food is activating the body's
own natural ability to heal.
Algae are the primary and one of the richest sources of oil on
Earth. Just look at these headlines:
One of the first benefits our animal clients notice is how shiny
and silky their pet's fur is after starting them on a bio-algae concentrates-type
product. Arthritis clients notice how much more flexibility and less
pain from inflammation they have after starting BioSuperfood or
BioPreparation. We have many clients with
seizures who have either decreased
their medication or eliminated it altogether and still are
seizure-free. While not rigorous scientific proof, we feel it is
because algae is rich in all the Essential Fatty Acids (EFA): the
“good fats that heal” including Omega 3, 6, 9, ALAs (Alpha-Linolenic
Acids), DGLA (Dihomogamma-Linolenic Acid), DHA (Docosahexaenoic
acid), and rare GLA (its high gamma linoleic acid content is similar
to early mother's milk) and more fatty acids. These EFAs are not
extracted or derived from algae like the supplement studies use but the
whole food algae itself. Most people think fish are the original and
best source of Omega oils. Where do the fish get their essential
fatty acids? From the algae they get in the water. Fish are a secondary
source of essential fatty acids and fish oil supplements (capsules
or pill) are a poor tertiary source subject to a concentration of
contaminants such as heavy metals, PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls),
dioxins and other pollutants, oxidation and going rancid.
With the exception of the above recent study, fish oils have been
shown in other research to:
Produce cardiovascular benefits
Decrease triglycerides and cholesterol
Reduce inflammation from arthritis
Help balance depression and anxiety
Reduce tumor growth
Improve immune function
When looking for a good source of Omega oils for your pet, be wary of pet food manufacturers
that tout
their food as fortified with Omega oils from flaxseed and flaxseed
oil. Pet food manufacturers that use flaxseed and flaxseed oil do so
because of the lower costs or simply have not done their nutritional
homework on carnivores. While flaxseed and flaxseed oil are a great vegetable source of Omega oils for
herbivores and omnivores, carnivores (dogs & cats) do not have the proper enzymes
to digest flaxseed (a plant source). Carnivores need to get their Omega oil source
from animals
(fish and prey) and algae itself.
Wild animals get
algae whenever they drink from a natural body of water, such as a pond,
lake or stream.
Wild animals get algae whenever they clean the dirt off
their fur or clean their paws.
Wild animals get algae and essential
fatty acids whenever they eat herbivorous prey that has eaten plants,
seeds and algae. The prey convert vegetable sources of essential fatty
acids into a more usable form for carnivores.
Our domesticated pets have lost their natural source of algae since
we feed them tap water and processed foods void of all algae. Remember,
do not believe it just because you read it in the media or a "good
source of Omega oils" is printed on the label. Think
wholistically. Algae are the primary nutritional source of
essential fatty acids (Omega oils) for all living plants and creatures.
Fish oils from whole food sources (such as whole fish and algae) do
nutritionally support the body with such conditions as
ADD,
ADHD,
Alzheimer’s disease, sciatica, palsy,
seizures,
epilepsy,
multiple
sclerosis (MS),
Parkinson's disease,
ALS,
AMD and all other
brain and
nervous system disorders.
