What is really
holistic?
The list of purported natural arthritis remedies are
endless—glucosamine, glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin
sulfate, Omega 3 fish oil, EPA, DHEA, MSM, evening primrose
oil, selenium, zinc, ginger, copper salicylate, sea
cucumber, boswellia, feverfew, ginseng, shark cartilage,
bovine cartilage, bromelain, proteolytic enzymes, SAM,
SAM-e, superoxide dismutase, tumeric, etc. Although all
these might be natural arthritis remedies, are they all
holistic? Remember, holistic means to heal the whole body
and not just the symptom or disease. So, if one is healing
the whole body, would one use all of the above to "heal"
auto-immune disease, anemia, seizures, high blood pressure,
chronic renal failure (CRF), liver disease, inflammatory
bowel disease (IBD), etc.?
How do you know which of
the above "holistic" arthritis remedies will work for
