During this allergy-time of year, many canine clients
are coming down with a particularly deadly disease called Immune Mediated Hemolytic
Anemia (IMHA). 50% of those diagnosed with IMHA die within the first two
weeks of diagnosis. Out of the remainder, there is up to an 80% fatality rate.
We currently have more than 2-3 times the amount of emergency overnight orders

Iris's Cancer Returns
Our cat, Iris, was diagnosed just before Christmas with
advanced intestinal lymphoma.
Russell's
blog,
RussellLouie.com/wholistic-lessons/lymphoma, will detail what we did
to reverse the cancerous condition for 6 months with all our "wholistic"
practices. In July, Iris stopped eating again and our holistic vet said the
lymphoma had returned with increased
thickening of her intestinal walls. She said even chemotherapy would not
have bought us 6 months, so we did really well (plus no side effects). We
were not about to give up on Iris as
she told us she was not ready to leave. So, we enlisted the services
of another holistic vet that does homeopathy. Dr. Jan Facinelli
recently completed a course on cancer homeopathy therapies. While we are not
"out of the woods" yet, Iris has made an amazing second comeback. Our first

Most people expect a drug or supplement to produce results within 30
days. If their symptom or disease is not “cured” in 60 days, they judge
it to be a bad product or not to work. In our fast-food, instant-results
society anything less is unacceptable. But are these expectations
realistic? Here is our very simplistic, “wholistic” viewpoint on the
life cycle of a generic health challenge in people and pets.
Year 1
an imbalance,
deficiency or malfunction starts in the body,
no symptoms yet
0-25% malfunction or
degeneration occurs
Year 2
the imbalance, deficiency or malfunction
continues in the body, no symptoms yet
25-50%
malfunction or degeneration occurs
Year 3
symptoms start to appear as malfunction
or degeneration progresses

Do you wait for symptoms to show up or blow up before taking action? As
you can see above, the imbalance or malfunction started 2 years before
symptoms appeared. It was not until the degeneration or malfunction
reached the 50% threshold that symptoms finally appeared. But it is the
person's
perception in themselves or their pet that the health challenge
has only been going on for two years or less. After all, symptoms only
started to appear in Year 3. So they want all symptoms to disappear by
taking a drug or supplement after 30-60 days. Drugs and almost all
isolated supplements consist of extracts and high concentrations of only
the active ingredients needed to produce a therapeutic effect. The
advantages of this are quick results and elimination of symptoms. The
disadvantages are potential side effects, a
dependency on the product
and never taking care of the original cause of the symptom or disease.
For true “wholistic” wellness, one must give the body at least as long
as it took for the body to become
imbalanced or dysfunctional to become
balanced again. Studies have shown that it generally takes at least 90
days for any permanent change in the body to take effect. This includes
changing personal habits, quitting smoking, dieting to lose weight,
results from natural supplements, etc. A paradigm shift must occur from
the Cause & Effect principle used by drugs and supplements to a new
“wholistic” paradigm of balancing the body from within by letting the
body (not the product) “fix” the symptom or disease to finally achieve
Freedom From Illness.
So, expecting results in less than 30-60 days is simply not realistic
for the body when using whole food products.
We personally prefer using whole food products (such as BioPreparation, BioSuperfood, Seacure®,

first, that do not contain
high therapeutic amounts of any one ingredient but are a
collection of
many nutrients that work in synergy with each other to activate the
body's own natural ability to heal. Whole food products are safer and

As an example of one nutrient, why take or give your pet an Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) supplement of
just
extracted Omega 3 oil? Nature’s own whole food algae are naturally rich
in Omega 3, 6, 9, ALAs (Alpha-Linolenic Acids), DGLA
(Dihomogamma-Linolenic Acid), DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid), and rare GLA
(its high gamma linoleic acid content is similar to early mother's milk)
and more fatty acids. Algae are an original source of Omega oils (fish
eat the algae) not a
secondary source like Omega oil supplements that are extracted from
fish. When buying Omega oil supplements one has to worry about the
expiration date (to prevent rancidity), heavy metals, water pollution,

If one waits until lab tests confirm a
degenerative disease, the total cost to treat that disease will more

healthy, rather than $10,000 on cancer treatment and still break even.
So, the question becomes are you willing to spend an extra $83/month now

in the other 50% that will not get cancer?
