The pet food recalls continue. The best "wholistic" suggestion to prevent
danger to your pet is -- STOP feeding dry kibble dog food. In our
"wholistic" opinion, dry kibble dog food is the least nutritious form of
food to feed a carnivore. Furthermore, a majority of all pet food recalls is
with dry food. Canned food, freeze-dried food and raw food have a much lower

One of the first holistic principles we
follow is to be holistically proactive, rather than medically reactive.
In
order to enjoy Freedom From Illness, one must actively
participate in one's wellness, not just run to take or give your pet a
drug or isolated supplement only when symptoms show up or blow up.
In order to accomplish this, one must determine if their product (drug, isolated
supplement or our whole food product) is working. Do you ever wonder the
following?
How come the symptoms return as soon as I quit taking the
product?
Am I or my pet just supplementing the
symptoms or really getting better overall
(long-term)?
Here is an easy self-test to answer these
questions. Stop
taking or giving to your pet whatever product is in
question, whether it be an isolated supplement or one of our whole food
products, for a while and observe the results. Here are some possible
scenarios:
If the symptoms come back within
a few days, you or your pet's body obviously still has an
immediate need for the product but you are only taking/giving enough
to keep the symptoms away. In this situation, we would highly
suggest increasing the daily amount, so the body has more than enough
nutrition to neutralize the daily symptoms plus additional nutrition to regenerate new cells and rebuild deficient gland and
organ functions. This is what we call "awakening the genius within"
so the body can heal itself.
If the symptoms start to come back
after 1-2 weeks, you or your pet's body has developed a
certain amount
of stamina but there is still a deficiency that is
not balanced. If one has been only taking/giving the product for
several months, we would suggest continuing to take/give the same
product for longer to see if the body can rebuild itself. If
one has been taking/giving the product for 6 months or more, then we
would suggest increasing the daily amount, so the body has excess
nutrition to regenerate new cells and rebuild gland and organ
functions. The holistic principle here is to give more nutrition than is
needed to just keep the symptoms away.
The symptoms do not return 2-4
weeks after discontinuing the product. If the cause of the
symptoms was only temporary, for example an acute infection, minor
weak organ function, temporary toxin exposure, temporary body
stress, etc. this probably means the deficiency has been
resolved or the imbalance addressed successfully and one can stop
the product. However, if one wants to be holistically proactive, then we suggest decreasing the daily amount or
transitioning to the general nutrition formula used for health
maintenance in order to build the body's resistance so the symptoms
