In addition to the increased occurrence of disease caused by climate change, we also must holistically look at what factors might have weakened our immune system, such as bad dietary choices, poor nutritional content of food, environmental pollutants, decreased water quality, etc. For example, today's factory-farming methods, use of synthetic fertilizers, chemical herbicides and pesticides, lack of crop rotation, etc. all have contributed to a decline in the nutritional value of our foods.
