********************************************************************************* Why All Rescued Pets Need BACWe and our clients have experienced the following after opening our hearts and homes to an irresistible rescued (adopted) pet:
Now we ask, what did I do wrong? Rescued pets are far more prone to having a hidden health imbalance leading to future degenerative conditions later in life. Some possible reasons are:
Here are the holistic lessons we learned from our pets. The first “wholistic” principle is, an absence of symptoms does not mean a body is healthy. If you follow the traditional Western medical paradigm of waiting for symptoms to show up or blow up before taking “wholistic” action, then be prepared to accept the consequences later in life for you and your pet. As far as we know, only the rabies vaccine is required by State law. There is now a 3-year rabies vaccine so one does not have to give annual vaccinations in some states. We continue to suspect that over-vaccination may produce negative results, including unexplained tumors and even cancer later in life. The feline distemper (panleukopenia) virus vaccine is manufactured from feline kidney cells. Recent studies suggest this may produce autoantibodies to their own kidney tissues and chronic low-grade inflammation in cats (www.littlebigcat.com). Could this be the reason why so many cats get chronic renal failure (CRF) later in life? We “wholistically” suggest minimal vaccinations as required by State law. Just because you fed a more holistic diet from ages 1-10 years, does not guarantee a degenerative condition was not developing in the background with no apparent symptoms. Most degenerative conditions do not show symptoms in our pets until after 50% degeneration has occurred. One doctor has said human breast cancer can take 10 years before symptoms show up. Feeding an inappropriate, nutrient-deficient diet to a carnivore may set the stage for degenerative conditions to grow in the background. Would you feed your child vegetable- and fruit-flavored cookies for its first 10 years of life and be surprised if it were overweight (obese), lethargic, allergic and a poor performer in school? The reason why a majority of pet food recalls involves dry kibble is because manufacturers are allowed to use grains unfit for human consumption. This means the grains could be moldy, filled with insecticides, pesticides, and worse. Read our report: What Pet Food Companies Do Not Want You to Know. After 10 years eating dry kibble the body may have all kinds of hidden imbalances just waiting (allergies, IBD, auto-immune SLO, pancreatitis, adrenal or thyroid issues, etc.) to produce symptoms as your pet becomes a senior.
Research suggests
GMO (genetically-modified
organisms), such as corn, soy and cottonseed oil, may produce stomach
lesions, pre-cancerous cell growth in the digestive tract, smaller
growth of brains, liver and testicles, partial atrophy of the liver and
damage to the immune system. Corn and soy can be a major ingredient in
dry kibble. Do you need any more reasons to avoid all dry kibble food?
Read our March, 2010, e-newsletter article: Researchers have only recently concluded that trauma in early life stages may cause a malfunction in the gut-associated mucosal immune system response due to possible genetic factors and early programming of the anti-inflammatory system, such as the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. This is postulated as a possible cause for IBD and IBS later in life. The study found chronic stress can affect the mucosal immune system, while acute stress can affect the HPA axis. Rats with a history of aversive early life events were more susceptible to these stress-induced changes in gut permeability possibly related to early programming of the HPA axis. Did your rescued pet have a properly nourishing beginning (mother and father influences) or was it raised from a puppy mill, feral or by someone abusive? Was your rescued pet over-vaccinated and fed cheap grocery store dry kibble? We will illustrate all the above with our own cat. Iris was adopted from a rescue group at age 6. Her previous parent was a veterinary technician who made liberal use of all the vaccines that were available on-the-job. We surmised Iris had been fed dry kibble because her coat felt coarse and awful to touch and she did not readily take to the raw food we introduced. We also adopted a 3 year old companion cat at the same time (a Hurricane Katrina rescue). We transitioned both to a raw food diet with added bio-algae concentrates (BAC). We chose BioPreparation-f2+ because of Dr. Michael Kiriac's 20+ years of successful cancer in animals research. Within 1-2 months the companion cat’s coat became shiny and glossy from all the Omega oils in BioPreparation. It took Iris’ body over one year to finally show these same benefits. In retrospect, this should have been our first clue that something major was wrong with Iris’ digestive tract. Three years after adopting Iris, she suddenly stopped eating. She was eventually diagnosed with either advanced intestinal lymphoma or severe IBD. Our holistic vet gave us the options of steroids, chemotherapy, hospice care or euthanasia. Could we have prevented this by giving her the bio-algae concentrates advanced formula, BioPreparation-f3+? Perhaps. We are convinced that feeding her a raw food diet with BioPreparation-f2+ is the major reason why she is still alive and thriving today, 4.5 years later. To read the long saga of what led up to this diagnosis and how we successfully made Iris our "miracle" cat, download Margaret's detailed diary in the following two PDF documents: If there are any similar circumstances above with your rescued or adopted pet(s), we suggest starting BioPreparation immediately. If you recognize any of the above in your life, start BioSuperfood now. You deserve "wholistic" wellness too. If you want the economic advantages of being “wholistically” proactive, download this article on the cost of cancer in pets: Why Fix What Is Not Broken. Be holistically proactive, not reactive to the symptoms. Remember the old saying, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?
